A Big Happy Number 50 Post

Today was a FABULOUS day! First, it was my last day at Northwest University (Woo-ho!); however, I had to pack up the office the entire day - lame-o. Tonight, a group of us went out for Casey's "birthday" dinner and then a smaller group went out and about around Wallingford just to hang out! Great day, great day, great day!

Do you sense my excitement for having it be my last day? YAY!
Good ole' Katie Kelsey - I love this girl!
The ladies of the night - good times!

Absolutely terrible.

Can you believe it? Gas prices are becoming absolutely ridiculous! I think we should all boycott buying gas and just see what happens.....!
~
So, recently I have been on this big anti-bikers gig. I mean, they take up the road, they make everyone else drive slower, I always feel like I am going to hit them, and it's just absolutely annoying. However, after filling up my car the other day and seeing that dang machine take $50 of my hard earned money I may have to convert to biking. (okay okay okay, so as we all know that will never happen, but it's the thought that counts, right?!).
~
I am praising Jesus that my commute to the east side will end on Friday and no longer will I have to waste so much money in filling up my car. Amen!

Happy "Year of Jordan" Birthday!

Happy 23 to my friend Casey!
Just wanted to pay a little tribute to a person who has made Seattle a little more like "home". We became instant friends when we found we had a mutual friend and our friendship has blossomed ever since.

Casey, I love you! Have a FABULOUS Birthday!!!

Just here for a quickie...

The sun is out and it is ABSOLUTELY beautiful! It makes me feel energized, excited and happy! It makes me miss California oh so much! I believe that God wants us to be happy, to be energized, and to love life; thus, it's official - I will make my next move to a place that is ALWAYS sunny! BRING ON THE HEAT!!! =)

Post about the Dalia Lama soon to come!

Calling all Jamba lovers!

Miss Casey Lou and I hit up the free Jamba Juice that was being offered this morning from 6-10am at all Jamba Juices nation wide. I took this opportunity to try the new granola-topped smoothies and WO-EE it was a phenomenal choice. Next time you visit Jamba, make sure to take even a quick looksie at the new items on the menu! =)

Oh, for good weekends!

I had one of the best weekends I have had since moving to Seattle.

Friday was set up to be one busy day! My friend Jonathan asked me to go Evening with him (the big Spring Event put on by NU Activities) and it was the perfect opportunity dress up, go out to a nice dinner, and be blessed. I ended up getting off work early, going to get a MAC makeover (randomly) and came home to get ready for the fun-filled night. We ended up going to the Purple Cafe down town Seattle and it was absolutely scrumptious and then to the EMP where we were the ticket-takers for TWO HOURS!! Yes, two hours just sitting there and taking tickets. However, it was so much fun to see all the students come in all dressed up and beautiful! Finally later on in the night we were able to go upstairs into the EMP and enjoy ourselves among the musical randomness.

Saturday I woke up took a shower and then lounged around for a majority of the afternoon, and definitely stole a few z's. That night was church and Pastor Judah brought a great word!

Sunday a group of friends from my program ventured on up north to what was suppose to be "tulip country"; unfortunately, no tulips were in bloom so we saw one field of daffodils (as pictured below), ate lunch at a delightful lil cafe and came home!

(My precious friend Katie and I!)
Sunday afternoon was spent with my friend Sean. He is an amazing person with a heart of gold, and probably one of my most favorite people. We ran around, ate some "linner" at a restaurant overlooking Lake Union, went to Gasworks Park, and finally to a neat lil coffee shop and toy store in Ballard. What a fun day in the city!

(Not the best picture, but this is at Gasworks Park looking on to the city)
